THE TEAM
Hi we're Ross, Heather and McKinley a local family who share a passion for football. By starting The Goal Getters we hope to give children a fun active introduction to the game.
ROSS MIDDLETON
HEAD COACH
Hi my name is Ross and I've loved the game of football ever since I can remember. I've been lucky enough to play the game at a semi professional level since I was 16 with my biggest achievement having trials with Manchester United.
Unfortunately the dream of making it as a professional footballer didn't happen for me but the benefit the game has had on my life has been huge, it's always kept me fit and healthy, I've gained a huge network of friends right across the country but most importantly I've had lots and lots of fun playing the game I love.
By starting The Goal Getters we really want to introduce children to the game in a pressure free fun environment. We hope it will be an enjoyable start to a long and fun football journey
IAN
SUPER COACH
Ian is our super coach and covers the Northam Hall sessions in Bideford. He's an FA qualified coach and has gained a wealth of experience coaching with Torrington school and even spent time coaching in Australia.
He's also a first team regular for Torridgeside and accoring to reports is a rock at the back.
Most importantly he's amazing with the children, he makes them all feel welcome and helps all abilities have lots and lots of football fun at every session, we're very lucky to have him with us and he's a vital part of the Goal Getters team.
OWEN
SUPER COACH
Owen is our newest recruite and covers a variety of sessions across North devon including some of our local schools. He's an FA qualified coach and as well as being a Goal Getters super coach is also Bideford Under 11's manager.
When he's not teaching our super stars some super skills he can be found banging in the goals for Hartland F.C.
Owen has fitted right into Goal Getters life and has been amazing at helping the children learn in a pressure free fun environment, we're very lucky to have him as part of the Goal Getters team and look forward to working together more in the future.
HEATHER
TRAINING COACH
Heather has a degree in Sports Therapy and as well as being a mum of two she is also a Goal Getters coach in training
Hev used to be sports therapist for Ilfracombe Town FC first team and has always had a love of sports and being active. She can often be seen throwing a ball in a hoop in the local netball leagues
McKINLEY
CHIEF MASCOT
Hi I'm McKinley and i'm the chief mascot at the Goal Getters.
I love playing football and even like trying to save some penalties at the end of sessions. Why don't you come along and see if you can core past me?
Our boy loves his Saturday morning football. Ross & Heather are great. He doesn't stop talking about it - lots of fun + learning
